IE Turnover Limits in Armenia in 2026: 24 and 115 Million AMD, What Happens If You Exceed
Two turnover thresholds apply to an IE in Armenia, measured on the previous year: 24 million AMD for micro-business and 115 million AMD for turnover tax and for VAT registration. Statements are filed within 20 days of registration and then by 20 February. If you exceed a threshold, the favorable status ends.

Thresholds at a glance
| Indicator | Limit | What depends on it | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Turnover, previous year | up to 24 million AMD | you can be a micro-entrepreneur | SRC, form 257 |
| Turnover, previous year | up to 115 million AMD | you can use turnover tax | SRC, form 201 |
| Annual turnover | above 115 million AMD | registration as a VAT payer | SRC, form 264 |
Turnover means sales of goods and services excluding VAT across all of the IE's activities. For turnover tax, the threshold is stated as turnover for the previous calendar year excluding VAT.
As of 20.10.2026 these values match the SRC service pages on the government portal. We found no amendments to the micro-business threshold in the acts we checked. In the 2016 text of the Tax Code the threshold was 58.35 million AMD; outdated texts online may still quote this number.
Deadlines
| What | Deadline |
|---|---|
| Regime statement (forms 201, 257) for a new IE | within 20 days of registration |
| Regime statement for an existing IE | every year by 20 February |
| Turnover tax report | by the 20th day of the month following the reporting period |
| Turnover tax payment | by the 20th day of the month following the reporting period |
The report and payment deadlines come from Articles 261-262 of the Tax Code (2016 text); we found no amendments, but check the current text. The reporting period for turnover tax is set by Article 53 of the Code.
Missing the 20 February deadline: the IE stays on the general system with VAT until the next chance to choose, and a micro-entrepreneur without a statement loses the benefits (SRC).
What happens if you exceed a threshold
Micro-business (24 million). Micro-entrepreneur status ends and you move to another regime. For VAT registration the SRC requires the article, the part of the Code and the date when the status ended.
Turnover tax (115 million). Under Article 255 of the Code (the norm's structure from the 2016 text), status ends from the moment the threshold is exceeded during the year until the end of the tax year. After that you pay under the general system, and the unused deduction is taken into account under Article 264(4) with multipliers: trade 10, production 20, catering 10, other activity 15.
VAT (115 million). After exceeding, file form 264. The rate is 20%, 0% on exports. State the day the threshold was exceeded.
Related persons
Turnover tax is unavailable to related persons under Article 30 of the Code, and the total turnover of persons declared related by a tax authority decision is limited by the threshold (Article 254(3) points 5-6). Splitting a business among related persons therefore does not avoid the limit. Check how relation is defined in the current Article 30; we do not repeat the "20%" rule from old articles without verification.
How to monitor the limit
- Count turnover as a running total from 1 January across all activities.
- Compare the general system with VAT and turnover tax in advance: if you go above 115 million, you will have to switch anyway.
- Calendar: 20 days after registration, 20 February each year, the 20th of the month after the reporting period.
